Every child deserves the magic of summer camp—the friendships, the sun, and the sense of belonging. But for many families, the excitement of camp comes with a side of worry. Will my child be supported? What happens if they have a "big emotion" moment? Will they be included?
At Positive Approaches, we believe every child deserves to thrive. That’s why we provide 1-on-1 Behavior Specialization Support featuring our Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) level staff. We don't just "watch" your child; we champion them, ensuring their camp experience is safe, inclusive, and—most importantly—incredibly fun.

Neurodiversity-Affirmed LEGO® STEAM Camp 🤖
Ages: 5–15 (Small, Age-Matched Groups)
Time: Monday – Friday | 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Building More Than Just Robots — Building Connections! 🧩
Our week-long summer enrichment groups offer a unique blend of LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential engineering and our signature Talk Aloud Problem Solving (TAPS) method. Hosted at our ABA clinic, this camp is designed for children and teens with Autism and other developmental disabilities to master collaborative reasoning and executive functioning.
The "TAPS" Method: How We Build 🤝
We don't just build; we collaborate! Students work in age-matched pairs, alternating between two critical roles:
- The Problem Solver: 🧠 Takes the lead by talking through their logic out loud and breaking complex builds into parts.
- The Active Listener: 👂 Follows the logic, checks for accuracy, and uses encouraging words to keep the partner talking.

The Gear & Outcomes ⚙️
- 21st Century Skills: Focuses on social-emotional growth, literacy, and math through hands-on investigation.
- Clinical Oversight: Supervised by BCBAs and MFTs with a low 1:3 staff-to-client ratio.

The Ultimate ABA Summer Adventure for Future Explorers! 🚀
Welcome to a summer program designed specifically for pre-kinders with Autism and other developmental disabilities. Hosted at our San Jose ABA clinic, our week-long groups combine the joy of exploration with the expertise of trained BCBAs and Behavior Technicians to give your child the boost they need for the upcoming school year.
We're turning "school prep" into an epic adventure where big breakthroughs meet big fun!
The Kindergarten Toolkit 🧰
We don't just "play"—we play with purpose. Our curriculum focuses on the behaviors that matter most for classroom success:
- Social Skills: Sharing, turn-taking, and making friends.
- Cooperative Play: Learning to engage and work with peers.
- Self-Regulation: Building the tools to manage big emotions.
- Self-Advocacy: Empowering children to communicate their needs.
